WILLIAMSPORT - On Thursday, December 28, 2017 Linda Sosniak, a children's and fabric-craft business owner in Picture Rocks donated thousands of dollars worth of girl's

dresses, tops, slacks, sweaters, robes, doll clothes, hair accessories and boy's robes,

sweaters, and vests to Firetree Place (FTP) in Williamsport. The clothing is handmade,

by Sosniak, and retails for an average of $15.00 per item.

Ms. Sosniak explained that she is donating to FTP after becoming more aware of their

mission. "I know that there are a great many organizations in Lycoming County to give

to, but because of Firetree's mission to help under-privileged children, I knew that they

would be the right group to distribute the clothing."

"Now just seemed like the right time to give," she said, "I am slowing down my clothing

business to concentrate on civic and political opportunities for me. By handing over this

inventory to Firetree, I am pleased to know that I am supporting their efforts for families

and children."

Linda Sosniak is a current member of the Picture Rocks Borough Council and in November was elected to serve a 4-year term. She and her husband, Johnny Sosniak, live in Picture

Rocks with their two dogs and close to their extended families. Ms. Sosniak is a retired

Postmaster. Her husband is retired from the Army. Sosniak is a Lycoming County

Democratic Committee member and the current Vice President of the Williamsport Area

Women's Democratic Club.

Firetree Place (FTP) is a non-profit licensed child-care community center, in

Williamsport, PA, and focused towards helping Lycoming County youth and their families.
